Preserving wild bee species and keeping honey bees is the core of the new Bee Club. Manfred Schmitz conveys the fascinating diversity and interconnectedness of nature in this exciting and lively workshop about bees and the many other insects in general: In front of the fir grove on the northern tip of the island, we experience the bee colonies, how they live and reproduce. Pupils of the Club are with beekeeper veils at the up to 40.000 bees in a colony and can also nibble a little of the honey of the bees and fill some jars to sell them on the island. Where do bees find nectar on the island and how do they make honey from it? Experience and understand nature in (role) play and with fun. No question is stupid. Whoever doesn’t ask remains stupid! 😊
