Drawing people (Arp Museum)

The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck is located less than one kilometer south of Nonnenwerth on the Rhine. So you can easily reach it on foot. With the exciting architecture of the American star architect Richard Meier and the ever-changing exhibitions, it offers countless inspirations for your own creative work.

During this school term, you can learn how to draw people and faces with draughtswoman Franca Perschen. What makes the human figure? What is their proportion? How do you represent movement? How do emotions show themselves? How do you create three-dimensionality? On one date there will be a model to draw from.

About the instructor:

The artist Franca Perschen, who herself had two sons at the Gymnasium Nonnenwerth, has been giving workshops and guided tours at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck as a freelancer for several years. With the eye of the draughtswoman, she conveys to look closely and never loses sight of the fact that the important thing about art is that it – no matter from which century it originates – has direct points of contact with the reality of our lives and can thus be highly topical and thoroughly exciting for us.
