In this course, the basics of electrical engineering and digital technology are taught.
We design circuits and can test them in an experimental setup, for example a small alarm system, traffic light control, counters, or logical links.
We will also be looking at the school’s broken equipment. After testing and disassembly, we try to find and fix the faults. These can be defective devices of the physics collection, audio-technical devices, or computers, which we want to repair or improve.
Own devices can also be inspected by arrangement. You will be introduced to the basics of electronics (components, circuit diagrams, etc. ), troubleshooting and can learn how to solder.
This course is suitable for technically interested pupils from the age of 11, who also have fun with tricky handicrafts. Attentive cooperation and attendance for the full 2 hours are prerequisites for participation.

After studying electrical engineering, Thomas Förster worked as a developer for computer controls and as a product manager. During his studies, he developed and produced a school and teaching system for digital technology. His two children are students of Nonnenwerth.
